Understading...

I've been here for almost 3 weeks. It's crazy to me to see how much I have already learned. People are interning here from all over. It shows that a large group of young people actually care about the world. Margaret Mead once said, "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has." That is so true as to how many small groups of have committed to fighting for a cause and never ever giving up. I have learned a lot about myself already during my time here. Even though I'm the youngest intern here it goes to show the willingness and dedication that one could have towards a cause such as the issue with the North Korean Human rights crisis.
I recently had some trouble with my computer and had to take it to a local repair shop in Torrance. The guy asked me and my friend Pat what we do. We told him we work for LiNK, Liberty in North Korea. As soon as that guy heard the words "North Korea" he said a comment like "What a lost cause that is." In a very hopeless voice. I had told him all about what we were doing to help the refugees. He asked if I was getting paid for this and I told him no. He had to keep my computer an extra day. He told me he would only charge me $40 for the repair. The next day came around and I called to make sure it was ready. The guy told me to bring a size large shirt from LiNK. With the shirt I brought it and handed it to him in exchange of my computer. "Alright, now get out of here." He said. I asked "you don't want me to pay?" "No, Your already doing enough good work I cannot charge you."
It was such a huge blessing to have that happen. It shows that people do care and like the work that you are doing. Even though that guy was skeptical about my work with LiNK he still saw that what I was doing was good.
It's a nice sunny day in Torrance. Glad the weekend is here.

The paint is dry.

Elegant surroundings will soon be yours.

You will touch the hearts of many.

The two sentences above were my fortune in my fortune cookie today.
